BMX session May half term

Friday 31st May some of our young members headed off to the Lawrence Weston BMX track for a session with instructor Matt from Access Sport.  Once suitable helmets and protective gloves were issued along with appropriate sized bikes, they all did practice laps on the flat before attempting the ramps.  Most had attended a session before, but for some it was their first time.  Riding a BMX is different to a standard bike in that you are mostly stood up on the pedals and the bikes look too small! The children showed us their skills going over the humps on both the small and large track culminating with the large ramp.  No worries from our group, they took it in their stride.  To see the confidence grow is fantastic.  To step outside of their comfort zone and shine.  We have been invited back for 2 sessions in August, Friday 9th and 23rd, for ages 6+.  Please let us know if you would like to take part.
