SUMMARY:The Teddy Centre (Ear Clinic) Bristol
DESCRIPTION:Bring your teddys or cuddly friends for a role – play hearing test and have your bear fitted with toy Hearing Aids\, Cochlear Implants or BAHA. We would recommend a ‘Bear Factory’ sized bear for aids to fit best and avoid loss but the size’s can be flexible. \nPlease note\, this session is for children who haven’t already participated in The Teddy Centre (Ear Clinic). If your child has already participated don’t worry we will be running follow up sessions in the near future. Also\, for children participating – siblings are welcome to bring their teddys along too. But due to funding\, we are only able to provide aids to children with a hearing loss. DESCRIPTION:The Family Centre Deaf Children have a opportunity for children and young people aged 6+ to participate in a pilot project to learn British Sign Language.\n\nThese BSL lesson are designed specifically for children and young people\, the lessons will be interactive\, engaging and focus on topics that children and young people will find useful to learn. In the lessons\, children/young people will be able to learn sign but they will also learn important skills that will help them to communicate and connect with people who have a hearing loss.
