Bring along your teddy or cuddly toy to Elmfield School for a role-play hearing test\, and have your bear fitted with toy Hearing Aids\, Cochlear Implants\, or BAHA. \nBook your Bears appointment below to have a hearing test. We recommend a ‘Bear Factory’ sized bear for the aids to fit best\, the size is flexible\, if you have any questions let us know. \nPlease note\, this session is for children who haven’t already participated in The Teddy Centre (Ear Clinic). If your child has already participated don’t worry we will be running follow up sessions in the near future. Also\, for children participating – siblings are welcome to bring their teddys along too. But due to funding\, we are only able to provide aids to children with a hearing loss. If siblings would like aids\, please get in contact about additional purchasing.

SUMMARY:Family BSL Course
DESCRIPTION:Family sign course \nDates: Saturday 21st September\, Monday 23rd September\, Monday 30th September\, Monday 7th October\, Monday 14th October\, Saturday 26th October. \nPlease note: Week- 1 and 6 will be a face-to-face 2 hour lesson held on Saturday 21st September and Saturday 26th October\, 10-12pm\, venue Elmfield School for Deaf Children.  Lessons week 2-4 will be via Zoom 6-7pm. \nThis course is designed to teach families how to use British Sign Language in everyday family life with topics such as family members\, names\, greetings\, food\, mealtimes\, numbers\, colours\, emotions/feelings\, hospital\, doctors\, dentist\, appointments\, how to ask questions and lots more! \nThis is a non-qualification course.  Limited places available. Please email admin@fcdc.org.uk if you have any questions about this course. \nThis is a funded course however donations are very welcome. Please support The Family Centre charity wherever possible.
