Family BSL Course

Family sign course
Dates: Saturday 1st June, Monday 3rd June, Monday 10th June, Monday 17th June, Monday 24th June and Saturday 29th June.
Please note: Week- 1and 6 will be a face-to-face 2 hour lesson held on Saturday 1st June and Saturday 29th June, 10-12pm, venue Elmfield School for Deaf Children. Lessons week 2-4 will be via Zoom 6-7pm.
This course is designed to teach families how to use British Sign Language in everyday family life with topics such as family members, names, greetings, food, mealtimes, numbers, colours, emotions/feelings, hospital, doctors, dentist, appointments, how to ask questions and lots more!
This is a non-qualification course. Limited places available

FOR ALL EVENTS
It is essential that all of our events and activities are enjoyable, welcoming and inclusive to all and we rely on all of our families who attend to ensure this is the case. For all our family events parents will be expected to be responsible for their children at all times to ensure we have a respectful, safe and inclusive environment. If there are any concerns or anyone does not feel this is the case please approach either staff or trustees who will always be available at all events.
FOR NEW FAMILIES
If it is your first time attending an event or you don’t know anyone else attending, please let the organisers know and they will link you with another parent as part of our buddy system.
