We send out a newsletter by email twice a month.  To receive this you don't need to become a member - just complete our Family Registration Form, making sure you have filled in an email address and tick the box to say you don't want to be a member.

New families can come along to one FCDC activity for free to get to know us, and can come to further activities as non-members.

Full details of all our activities are in our newsletter, and if you have a deaf child aged 8 or over you will also receive information about our Deaf Youth Club by post.

Membership is open to families living with deafness - those with a deaf child or a deaf parent.

If you are interested in the future of the charity and would like to be able to vote at our Annual General Meeting (AGM) or stand as a trustee, you need to be a member.

The cost is £5 per family and subscriptions must be received by 1st November.
Your family can join in our children's session for free, whilst you attend the AGM.

However you want to be involved - just fill in our Family Registration Form.

Confidentiality and Data Protection statement - How we use your information.
The Family Centre (Deaf Children) maintains a family database with the information that you give us on your membership form.  We will also record any additional information that you give us about your family, or that we observe, but only if we think it is relevant to the services we provide.  We will record basic information about any other family members, or guests, that attend our events.  We use this information to promote, plan, deliver and evaluate services - it will remain confidential and will not be shared outside our organisation without your permission.  If your child attends our Deaf Youth Club we will send you a separate Consent Form asking for permission to share certain information with Bristol City Council.  When reporting to other funders we do not share personal information, but we are required to say how many people have used our services and we may need to give additional information such as age, which local authority they live in and whether they are deaf or hearing.  If you have any concerns please contact the Centre Manager.
